Vision and Mission
Director's Message
‘Education is to teach our children to desire the Right’ and towards this goal we strive to accomplish the extraordinary from the ordinary and promoting collective happiness and well being of the people apart from educational and professional success. It is equally fundamental to instill in the children a balance between performance and character while inculcating and augmenting the value of courage, integrity, humility, cooperation and communication.
Education is considered as the most potent force of social change. It is an efficient instrument which can enrich the citizens with the knowledge, skill, capacity and confidence for building a dynamic, vibrant nation that takes care of its entire people. It gives children, especially disadvantaged, a chance at success which in normal circumstances would never happen otherwise. Without which these children may never get a chance to break out of their circumstances and lifestyles. Moreover, higher education occupies a place of special importance because it can provide ideas and purpose to give shape to the future. India’s non-urban and semi-rural regions have some inherent drawbacks with regards higher education. Firstly, access to quality education itself is a grave area along with outmoded teaching methods make matters worse. Moreover, inadequacy of quality educational coaching infrastructure is a major disadvantage for students while aspiring for higher education qualifications at the national level. Thus, these students remain severely handicapped while appearing for competitive exams for entrance into Engineering, Medical, Defense, Law, Banking, Fashion and miscellaneous other streams eligible after class 12th standard. The problem gets amplified for children from the lower socio-economic strata, since they do not have resources to access high quality coaching centers located outside the region.
Moreover a student’s social environment, economic characteristics and educational influence shapes the cognitive and behavioral outcomes is well established fact. Children of our Indian Armed forces soldiers at the very outset start off on a slight disadvantage due to stresses such as frequent moves, absence of a parent, deployment in Operational Areas, posting in Tier three cities etc. All of this affects a child and the anxiety level varies from one child to the other. Moreover, the exposure level during growing up years is very limited affecting his world vision and competitive edge over a normal child thereby restricting his employment opportunities and confidence level once he steps out into the real world. This problem gets amplified for children of Martyrs, Battle Casualties, Physical Casualties, and Veer Naris (widows of martyrs). It is therefore pertinent that these students get an opportunity for quality coaching facilities to prepare for entrance examinations of various streams eligible after class 12th standard and for entry into niche Colleges/Universities/Institutes/Profession.
It is therefore pertinent that all the above students get an opportunity for quality coaching and compensatory education to prepare for entrance examinations for all the streams applicable after class 12th standard and make them Employable at the earliest in order to bring Sunshine in their and their families lives when the skies are grey. Additionally, through the center of excellence pursue inclusive management of the resettlement of the Ex Servicemen, Veer Naris and locals/marginalised people of the society, employing them gainfully towards administrative duties in the Center of Excellence.

Success Story
I can’t believe that life had so much in store for me. From a small village in Kulgam district, studying in government school and where it was difficult for my parents to make ends meet and make me continue my studies. I am so fortunate NIEDO happened to me. It completely changed my life. I owe it to Army HPCL Kashmir Super 30 (Medical)/Centre of Excellence for where I am today in life and will forever be greatful.
When I joined Army HPCL Kashmir Super 30 (Medical)/Centre of Excellence, I was hesitant and nervous. Gradually NIEDO built my confidence. Throughout my life I dreamt of becoming a doctor but coming from a modest background I never thought my dreams would come true. Today I am so thankful to God and NIEDO, they changed my and my family’s life completely. My father who is a class four government employee is very proud of me.
I just want to say a thank you and express my deep appreciation to Army HPCL Kashmir Super 30 (Medical)/Centre of Excellence and NIEDO. They diverted all my energies into becoming a man from a boy. They groomed my overall personality other than assisting me in my studies. They took care of us, our wellbeing, our food and made our stay very comfortable at Haft Chinar. The staff treated us like their own kids. God bless NIEDO.
I found the faculty and staff at NIEDO very inspiring and caring. They were very empathetic to all of us. Army HPCL Kashmir Super 30 (Medical)/Centre of Excellence changed my life dramatically. Coming with a lot of baggage this one year with NIEDO helped me lift my confidence and made me realise my dreams. Will always be indebted to this project which turn around my life.
I am deeply humbled and thankful to God, to Army HPCL Kashmir Super 30 (Medical)/Centre of Excellence and NIEDO that they made my dreams possible. I was always fascinated with medical but unfortunate circumstances back in my family made it difficult for me to pursue my passion. NIEDO came like a blessing to me. I got selected for their programme and now there is no looking back. I am also excited that NIEDO has started the second batch and my other brothers from my State will benefit from it and realise their dreams. I wish, hope and pray that many such initiatives should open up so that children from weak backgrounds can come up in life.
